Dinner Dates
Four unmissable dinner dates await at Terra Madre.
Discover new interpretations of Italian and international cuisine as prepared by members of the Slow Food Cooks’ Alliance and chefs from the restaurants featured in our annual Osterie d’Italia guide.
The Dinner Dates are held at Eataly Lingotto every day of the event except Sunday.
What’s on the menu?
Forest foraging from Piedmont to South Tyrol
We open with the Slow Food Cooks’ Alliance, who present a dinner based on foraging, with edible wild herbs and berries from the forests of Piedmont and South Tyrol. Foraging is back in fashion, as people search ever more widely and deeply for natural, sustainable sources of sustenance, as well as foods the restore value to our landscapes.
Adriatic Alliance: inland gastronomy from Albania to the Marche
The Slow Food Cooks’ Alliance is present in a number of countries around the world. Among its members we’re delighted to be welcoming Altin Prenga back to Turin: his contribution to the revival of Albanian gastronomy has been fundamental. After years working in Italy he returned to his native land where he opened an agri-tourism, Mrizi I Zanave, and he’s slowly building a business that isn’t just a restaurant, but a farm that grows its own food. With him we’ll have Daniele Maurizi Citeroni of Osteria Ophis in Offida, Marche, in a back-to-back dinner that pays homage to the common sea of these two lands: the Adriatic.
Women chefs and the world of pasta
For the third Dinner Date we invite our main partner Pastificio Di Martino to present their Barbie project: part of the proceeds from the sale of Barbie pasta goes to Food for Soul, an international non-profit dedicated to promoting socially-responsible actions that improve the health of our bodies and our planet. Pastificio Di Martino invites acclaimed Italian women chefs for the occasion, including Cristina Bowerman.
On the road with the Osterie d’Italia
The restaurants featured in our annual Osterie d’Italia guide are the most authentic expressions of Italian cuisine. In a journey around the country, with stops in the North, Center and South, our final Dinner Date invites you to explore how different parts of Italy interpret meat, fish and vegetables.
