A debate on food sustainability organised by Cuki Save the Food, on the occasion of the private screening of the film Non morirò di fame.

Gastronomic writer Luca Iaccarino will moderate the discussion between a number of professionals that are actively engaged in the agri-food industry:

  • Maria Chiara Gadda, first signatory of the Law 166/2016 to prevent food waste
  • Giuliana Malaguti, Communication Manager Banco Alimentare ONLUS
  • Umberto Spinazzola, Director of “Non morirò di fame”
  • Barbara Nappini, President of Slow Food Italia
  • Carlo Bertolino, Marketing Manager and Cuki Cofresco CSR

The debate will be followed by the projection of the movie Non morirò di fame, a story of redemption directed by Umberto Spinazzola. The protagonist is Pier – played by actor Michele Di Mauro –, a starred chef fallen on hard times, that in his attempt to recover the relationship with his daughter Anna (Chiara Merulla, at her film debut) begins a journey that will bring him to discover the consequences of food waste and to find brilliant solutions to fight it.

The event is part of the activities of Cuki Save the Food, Cuki’s engagement in the everyday battle against food waste. In more the 10 years of collaboration with Banco Alimentare, Cuki Save the Food have rescued and redistributed to charities over 21 million food portions.
