Cook Piero Ling, with his sister Ai Chih, will cook a recipe from Wenzhou, in southeast China, in a wok and present the Slow Rice network.

While chef Jam Melchor will take us to the Philippines to show us how to cook Chong-ak, an heirloom rice and ark of taste ingredient, that he’ll use to cook an arroz caldo.

Speakers:

  • Piero Kuang Sung Ling, owner together with his sister of Zheng Yang, a Chinese restaurant in Turin. In 2015 founded Slow Food Great China, works on the Ark of Taste project, organizer in 2020 of the first edition of Slow Rice, now in its third edition.
  • Silvia Ling, Slow Food Alliance cook and chef at Zheng Yang restaurant in Turin. Among the first Chinese restaurants to adhere to the Slow Food philosophy and use various products from the presidia.
  • Jam Melchor, country head of Slow Food Youth Network Philippines and the founder of the Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement. He is also the first and only Filipino chef to present Filipino cuisine at the Le Tavole Accademiche of the Università degli Studi di Scienze Gastronomiche (UNISG) in Pollenzo, Italy.

Free entry while seats last. We advise you to arrive 10 minutes before the event starts to ensure a place. There will be a small tasting at the end for which you may donate what you choose.
