11:30-12:15 – Meet Edie Mukiibi, new president of Slow Food
Edie walks us through the Portal all the way to his homeland, Uganda. We will meet Opportunigee, a Nakivale based non-profit organization where young refugees are creating their own opportunities after discovering their passion. Edie will share his story and passion as a farmer, social entrepreneur and new president of Slow Food with Ugandese children who will meet one of their national heroes.

Meet Terra Madre 2022’s Digital Facilitators! They are some of the world’s most impactful figures on social media creating and sharing at the cross roads of environmental activism, food justice and culture shift. Together with their millions of followers, we will discover how their content creates a very powerful connection between digital communication, environmental action and regenerative ecological practices.
