The health of animals, human beings, plants, and the enviroment are all interconnected. “One Health” consists of an integrated approach that acknowledges this fundamental relationship and guarantees the cooperation of diverse material specialists to confront the threats to the health of animals, humans, plants, and the environment.

At this event, we’ll look at the health of aquatic ecosystems in South Africa and Ecuador, and other coastal communities, that too often are threatened by economic interests.

Speakers:

  • Christian Adams, South Africa, Steenberg’s Cove fisher community
  • Hilda Fany León Aguayo, fisherwoman and advocator who harvests shellfish in the mangroves of Tumbes, Puerto Perú.
  • Fatmata Mansaray, teacher and Slow Food activist.

Moderator:

  • Líder Góngora Farias, activist and director of the NGO C-CONDEM

Free entry while seats last. We advise you to arrive 10 minutes before the event starts to ensure a place.
