In this difficult context , the Agri-Foods sector plays an important role insofar as it must feed the world population which will is estimated to reach 9.7 billion people by 2050.
The pressure to increase production, climate change, and the increase in labor and production costs together represent a significant challenge for the future of farming. The sector is therefore forced to increase sustainbale production, to rethink its methods to improve productivity, to reduce waste and to increase traceability.
On September 23, as part of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto a company mission is organized at the Environment Park with a selection of companies from the Agri-Food and ICT sectors in the Balkans, in collaboration with the European Training Foundation.
The Turin Chamber of Commerce and Unioncamere Piemonte, as part of the activities of the Enterprise Europe Network will organize a focused workshop and a B2B to explore the emerging opportunities and the best practices in the Agri-Food sector and offer an opportunity for networking among companies, research centers and innovation clusters. The Piedmontese companies involved can take part for free, and organize bilateral appointments with the delegations from the Balkan countries.
