AssoGAL Umbria is the coordination formed in 2017 by the 5 Local Action Groups active in Umbria: GAL Alta Umbria, GAL Media Valle del Tevere, GAL Ternano, GAL Trasimeno Orvietano and GAL Valle Umbra e Sibillini.
The 5 Umbrian LAGs are operational in the management of Measure 19 of the RDP of Umbria 2014 – 2020, with the aim of working alongside local communities through the Leader approach, activating initiatives to support participatory planning, fostering and encouraging the rural development of the territories, improving the quality of life of the resident populations, promoting environmental protection and increasing sustainable tourism.
AssoGAL Umbria supports businesses in promotional activities, especially extra-regional, in order to develop a unified communication, capable of conveying more emphatically and effectively the representative values of the entire territory, the quality of artisanal productions and food products, as well as the potential of the tourism offer of Umbria as a whole.
